The short version: the tools are free and provided as they are, what you draw and save is yours, a measurement here is an estimate and not a survey, and the maps are Google's. The full version follows.
Effective September 19, 2026
These terms are a contract between you and ObjectGraph LLC ("we", "us") covering Geo², the map tools at www.geosq.com. By using the site or creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
Geo² is free. Most tools need no account. We may change, suspend or stop a tool, or the site, and we offer no guarantee that it is always available. The iPhone, iPad and Mac apps that share the tools' names are separate products, sold on the App Store under Apple's standard licence.
You must be at least 13 years old. Give an email address you can read, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if someone else has used your account. What happens under your account is your responsibility. One person per account.
What you draw, import and save is yours. You give us the limited permission we need to run the site: to store your work, show it back to you, and show it to anyone you share a link with or, for a track you mark public, to anyone. We claim no other rights to it. Do not upload or save anything you have no right to use.
Areas, distances, elevations, coordinates and profiles are calculated from map imagery and terrain data made by others, with the errors those sources carry. They are estimates. Do not rely on them for navigation, aviation, construction, engineering, property boundaries, legal descriptions, a land survey, or any decision where a mistake could cause injury or loss. For those, use a licensed professional.
Do not use Geo² to:
We may limit, suspend or close accounts and block traffic that breaks these rules.
The maps, search and imagery are Google Maps. By using them here you are also bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Elevation data comes from ASTER GDEM, Mapzen terrain tiles and, where you choose them, the datasets served by OpenTopoData; each belongs to its makers and carries its own licence. We are not responsible for what other services do, or for whether they are available.
What we keep and what we do not is set out in the Privacy page, which is part of these terms.
You can stop using the site at any time, and you can delete your account, with everything saved under it, in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that the law requires us to close, or that puts the site or other people at risk.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ObjectGraph LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your work or your breach of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, this page will say so with a new effective date; using the site after a change means you accept it. Questions: [email protected].
