Need the elevation profile along a route? Try Geo Elevation

Find the Elevation of Any Location

This free elevation finder shows the altitude of any point on Earth. Click anywhere on the map, search for an address or place, or use your current location — a marker is dropped and its elevation appears instantly in both meters and feet. Check as many points as you like, drag a marker to re-check a nearby spot, and share your map with a link. Useful for checking the elevation of your house, comparing hill heights, flood-zone research, or planning hikes and rides.

How do I find the elevation of my house?

Type your address into the search box and pick it from the suggestions. A marker is placed on your home and its elevation is shown in meters and feet. You can drag the marker to fine-tune the exact spot.

How accurate is the elevation data?

Elevations come from the ASTER Global DEM, a satellite-derived terrain model with roughly 30-meter horizontal resolution and typical vertical accuracy within 10–20 meters. That's reliable for comparing locations and general planning, though not a substitute for a professional survey.

Can I check the elevation of multiple points?

Yes — every click adds a new marker with its own elevation reading, so you can compare several spots side by side in the panel. Remove any point with the trash icon, or Clear All to start over.

Does it show elevation in feet or meters?

Both. Every reading is displayed in meters and feet (1 m = 3.28084 ft), so there's nothing to convert.

Can I see an elevation profile between two points?

For a full elevation profile along a path or route — with charts, gain and loss — use our Geo Elevation tool. This page is for spot elevations at individual points.
