Radius map: draw a circle on a map

This free radius map tool draws a circle of any distance around a point on the map. Click anywhere on the map to set the center, or search for an address or city, or use your current location. Set the radius in miles, kilometers, meters, or feet with the input box or slider, and the tool shows the circle's area and circumference instantly. Add as many circles as you need to compare coverage, delivery zones, commute ranges, or "how far is 5 miles from me" — then share the exact map with a link.

How do I draw a radius circle on a map?

Click anywhere on the map to set the center point — a circle with your chosen radius is drawn immediately. Adjust the distance with the radius box or slider, or drag the white handle on the circle's edge. You can also drag the whole circle to move its center.

How do I draw a 5 mile radius around a location?

Search for the address or place name, set the units to mi and the radius to 5, and the circle is drawn around that location. The same works for any distance — a 1 km walking radius, a 30 mile service area, or a 500 ft buffer.

Can I draw multiple radius circles on the same map?

Yes. Every click on the map adds a new circle, and each circle keeps its own center and radius. Select a circle on the map or in the sidebar to edit it, or remove it with the trash icon.

How do I share my radius map?

The page URL updates as you draw, so you can copy the address bar or press Copy Link. Anyone who opens the link sees the same circles — no account needed. You can also write a link by hand: geosq.com/radius/?q=Austin, TX&r=5&u=mi opens the map with a 5 mile circle around Austin.

How accurate are the radius, area, and circumference values?

Circles are drawn at true ground scale on the Earth's surface, so the drawn boundary is accurate at any latitude. Area is calculated as πr² and circumference as 2πr from the exact radius you set, and unit conversions use standard definitions (1 mile = 1,609.344 m, 1 foot = 0.3048 m).

Is there an app?
